Basically simply a more compact version of the crazy popular TR-8S, the Roland TS-6S Rhythm Performer also comes loaded with the sounds of the most popular Roland TR Series models and offers the same kind of potential. That means that having the TR-6S as part of your rig gives you access to the kick and snare sounds from not just the TR-808, but the TR-606, the TR-909 and the TR-707 - all of which comes crammed in a single, compact and affordable little box here. If you're ready to take your beat-creation skills to the next level, the TS-6S Rhythm Performer is no doubt the way to go.
The Roland TR-6S Rhythm Performer
Next to the vast collection of samples that have been kindly loaded in by Behringer already, you're also free to load in your own. Every sound can be fleshed out using various effects and wicked beats can be weaved using the built-in TR-REC step sequencer, 16 touch-sensitive pads and 128 different patterns and fill options. Operating the TR-6S is child's play, and you'll quickly realise that the learning curve for shaping awesome beats is anything but steep. In addition, this Roland-made drum machine doesn't need a power adapter and can simply be powered via USB or 4 AA batteries. The included USB port however also allows you to send and receive MIDI data, though the same naturally goes for the dedicated MIDI IN and OUT connectors round the back of the TR-6S - the place where you'll also find the R and L/MONO jacks used to plug in a mixer, amplifier or audio interface. Finally, there's an SD card reader so you can store your productions or import sample data and Roland have completed the TR-6S with a finishing touch in the form of an ever-useful front-mounted headphone jack.

Ziet eruit als speelgoed maar de USB PC/Mac editor maakt hier een beest van een drumcomputer van. Met juiste levels, saturators en master compressie kom je vaak tot betere beats dan bij de originele x0x, die ik vroeger heb gehad. Knop combi’s zijn logisch maar wel even wennen, en er kan veel ook via midi. ASIO drivers kun je onder VBaudio virtuele ASIO hangen voor aparte inputs naast je soundcard. Aanrader!
Leuk dingetje - Veelzijdig. Eigenlijk veel veelzijdiger dan de vintage spullen van 10 tot 40 keer de prijs. Voor klein budget super bruikbaar.
Fijne compacte drumcomputer, vertrouwde Roland kwaliteit.

Livraison impeccable, et à peine déballée aussitôt allumée. Ouha quel bonheur ! On s' amuse très vite avec cette petite boîte. Pas encore fouiné dans les tréfond de la béstiole mais ça promet de belles nuits blanches. Franchement recommandable. Merci Bax et merci Roland !
Schitterend toestel, heel blij mee, getwijfeld of ik de grote broer TR8s niet zou nemen, maar deze past beter bij mijn opstelling qua formaat en met dezelfde engine. TR909,TR808, 707, 606, ze zijn allemaal aanwezig en de grote keuze aan andere drumkits , sounds en samples(waarvan je die van jezelf kan invoeren via HD card). Aanrader, zoals we van Roland gewend zijn.
Excellent produit, tarif et livraison au top avec bax shop
Een compacte drumcomputer met toch veel mogelijkheden en een breed palet goeie sounds. De voornaamste beperking die ik heb ervaren is dat je niet een volledige song met verschillende secties, herhalingen etc. kan sequencen. Daarnaast heb ik last van een kleine hoeveelheid digitale noise in het signaal wanneer ik de Roland met USB aan de PC heb verbonden (dit is niet het geval wanneer hij in een externe adapter geplugd is). Ik ben ook niet zo'n fan van de vele kleurrijke lampjes, maar dat is mijn eigen smaak.
My first drumcomputer and it does NOT disappoint.
Bax delivered it a few days early, which wasn't a bad start. The case, faders and knobs feel solid. Only the USB cable that came with it seems a little flimsy and the on/off button has a bit of play.
Programming patterns, building kits and importing libraries is way more straightforward than I'd expected. The menu-diveyness comes when you are perfecting a kit/ pattern, but the basic sounds + programming are set up in a matter of minutes. Add to that the portability and you've got yourself a creativity machine: on the couch/desk/during your commute you build some kits and basic patterns. Return it to your studio and perfect the kit with motion and fx while you integrate it with the rest of your setup. Bottom line is I am making more music. Love it
Ideal couch-groovebox because of the 16-button drumcomputer interface with sliders in a small formfactor. Use it with batteries and an external speaker. Very enjoyable to play around with all those well-known TR-xox sounds, and extremely hands-on through fills, steploop, and scatter functions. With the reverb-, delaysend, and a separate filter effect per instrument, tune, decay, rate, etc, a single morph parameter for the FM sounds, user samples, very distinct sounds can be created as well.
Downside: 6 voice polyphony, 6 voice multitimbral, and (1.0.1 currently) only 6 different sounds per pattern: no sample flip as eg in the Novation Circuit. For samples a workaround exists to append a reverse sample to a normal sample, and let the TR-6S play it in reverse. Or use different sounds in a stereo sample, and let the TR-6S pan to the desired sound. Some preset kits also have more than 6 playable sounds through an alt-mode.
10/10 would buy again.
Kleine broertje van de TR-8S. Zelfde engine, kleinere form factor en 6 tracks ipv 11. Geen individuele analoge outputs maar dat maakt niet uit want over USB heb je dat wel. Perfect combo samen met mijn MC-101. Tracks maken in Ableton met Zenology Pro en de virtuele drum computers van Roland. Midi clips, patches en patterns exporteren naar je MC-101 en TR-6s en je kan live gaan knallen zonder computer. Dit is voor mij de ideale combo.
